I started washing my daughters clothes when I was around 22 weeks! I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby girl. I don't believe in that stuff!

@evasmommy626, i seriously was ready to wash everything and she called me yesterday to talk about stuff and then she told me that.... now what.... my husband would do it but I wanted to do it :( :( :( :( and organize after.....

Just do it! My husband works during the week & is usually tired when he gets home so I did my daughters room! I organized all of her furniture, put together her crib, decorated & washed/put all of her clothes away! If you want to do it I would :) I made it a bonding experience! I talked to my daughter the whole time & told her everything I was doing & she would respond by wiggling around lol

The reason not to wash them all is because you don't know what size they will be. And you don't want to wash 50 outfits that they are never able to fit into when you you could return them and get other clothes! This especially applies to Newborn & 0/3 Month clothes.

@evasmommy626, omg u assembled the crib yourself! I would never attempt to do that.... I practically do everything but not that... damn ur good.... can you be my husband then???? lol.... mine wanted to wait for the baby to be born to buy anything cuz "people might buy us stuff" ...... I'm like ur crazy!no ! so I bought crib and 3months worth of diapers and wipes and the necessity....

@kenitra, I took off all the tags on them already..... the ones that my husband had to buy cuz it was batman was 0 to 3 months or higher. I told him never to buy newborn clothes cuz they get big so fast!!!!

I'm not buying one thing for this baby until after my showers! 😹 we will buy whatever is left on my registries.

I had this thought myself. I don't have a washer and dryer hook up in my apartment. We just have the facilities. So my plan was to do some wash at my in laws after my baby shower July 24th. Now I'm nervous lol.

@kenitra, we registered but the 2 surprise showers I had was really a surprise and they gave clothes and gift cards and some baby stuff.... my babysitter gave me a lot of stuff and so did my gf that had a boy.... and it's all new.... so, what am I going to do with all these things.... I don't know anyone that's having a boy or let alone pregnant.

@desireeanne, are you washing everything? My husband hates doing laundry. maybe if it is for his newborn son he won't mind. cuz he would be the one to put everything on the baby without washing..... he will be like... he's fine.... and I'm all into organic since I had my 1st baby and I've been eating organic too since forever.....

My grandmom refuses to buy my baby any clothes until he gets here. But I'm not gonna wash anything until I know for sure he's going to wear it. I can always take it back to the store and get my money back but not if I wash it lol

@kbabyondway, I took all the tags off cuz I was so excited. the gifts i got didn't have a lot of newborn clothes..... good thing.....

I would wash at least what you'll need for a day or 2 once baby is coming home/home. So many people touch the clothes, you don't want so many germs on newborn...... just do a few things in newborn size and a few in 0-3, if you're unsure of size, and bedding. Or have someone do it for you while you're in the hospital.

Omg my boyfriend is the same way, well his whole family. They already saying I'm cursed because I put the crib together and sorted his clothes and I'm washing them before he gets here.. What they don't understand is when you have no help it's harder to wash clothes after the baby arrives or put things together after they arrive. I just tell them to pray for me then because I'm not going to be unprepared when he gets here and drive myself crazy.. Once I hit 37 weeks everything needs to be ready to go and organized where it's going to be.
