at what age do you switch from the infant car seat(the one baby came home in) to a baby booster seat(not forward facing)...my daughter is 6 months but extremely advanced and is almost to big for her seat but i wasnt sure if she was of age go switch
I had to at about 8 months. she was a chunky little thing lol. we got the Graco 4ever and can do rear facing up to 40 pounds...we are 15 months and still rear facing and she has a lot of room. plus when it's time we can do forward facing with harness, high back booster, and no back booster...it will be the only one she needs.
I had to at 7 months because my little man was over the 25 pound weight limit. we bought a seat with 40 pound limit this time around
shes tall and kinda chunky...ive adjusted the straps and its starting to be a little snug. but now i know the requirements, soon it will be time to shop for a new seat
ok..thanks. i def. didnt know and i didn't want to change over if it wasnt time. she a big girl lol
@katarama, lol I had to read it a couple times too. Yay mommy brain, right? 😉
@mommagotbump16 oh okay! I read it wrong the first time I think. I thought she said switching to a seat "not rear facing", not "not forward facing" lol
@mommy_1115, yes you can change over to a bigger seat when they meet the weight requirements. They also recommend keeping kids rear facing until age 2 at least now
@katarama, she's asking about changing seats not the direction it's facing.
ok..is it the same even if the get to big for the seat they came home in
until they are 1 or until they reach the weight limit on the seat
