If you go into labor yourself you could try a VBAC, but there are certain things that make you a good or bad candidate for a VBAC. This is what I'm currently going through. I delivered my first vaginally, my second I tried to deliver vaginally but she got stuck and I had to have an emergency c-section, and my third was a planned repeat c-section. So because I delivered one vaginally but I couldn't push my second out, that makes me a "less than desirable candidate" for a VBAC. If you've never delivered a baby vaginally before then your chances for a successful VBAC are very slim. There are other things they take into consideration as well. It's definitely a conversation you should have with your OB. Maybe have a c-section scheduled, but ask if you go into labor before then if it would be okay if you tried a TOLAC (trial of labor after cesarean).. That's what me and my doctor are hoping for.. But only if I go into labor myself.
