never did. it didn't seem worth it. its hard to take away

I honestly didn't want my baby boy to have a pacifier but being that he was born preemie, was in the NICU, and it helped to comfort him, I changed my mind. And honestly, he has had absolutely zero nipple confusion at all - so I personally would have recanted my statement about not wanting him to have one in the first place and would have allows him to, had he been born in time, regardless.

our son got one in the hospital. he has no issues with latching or nursing. nothing says you have to give them one though. it is easier if you never get them started.

my daughter got hers the day we left the hospital. she has had no issues latching. my 1st got it alot 2 weeks after we got home with her. she had no issues either

I didn't plan on giving Elliott one at all. but I was having an extremely rough time when she was a about a week old because she constantly wanted to be on my boob even if she wasn't hungry. So I was in a lot of pain and not getting any sleep. I had an emotional breakdown and my mom suggested I just boil a binky and see if it helped. It did. And she has had zero nipple Confusion. Nipple confusion is actual very rare but crazy breastfeeding enthusiasts make it out to be a common thing. I say wait to see if you think your baby needs one to stay calm, then decide.

I introduced my first before we left the hospital she was EBF and had zero issues .. My second wouldn't take one at 6 weeks he found his thumb .. This one is a thumb sucker in utero so I doubt she will be taking a pacifier

after 24 hours. baby is doing great with EBF and loves his bink as well.

I had read about nipple confusion but wasn't sure if that was actually an issue or not. @cupcake231 yes! It does help prevent SIDS so that is definitely why I want to give my LO a pacifier if they'll take it☺️
