so ladies who have had an EP, how did you manage to stay completely still? I'm scared I'll move and be paralyzed.. does it hurt?
I was induced and got it without even having contractions at all and they numbed me up before sticking the big needle in 😂
Awww I'm sorry I hope someone will be in the room with you so you can hold or lean on its really not that bad but I was hurting BBC I got a contraction right while they were about to do it but it went away..but the contractions hurt way more than the epidural
I'm doing this alone :/ my so has to watch his first born :/ @teamtrinity
they told Me too lean on my boyfriends chest and it just stung a tiny bit
@jc2015, same with me . and I'm being induced so I'm super duper worried :/
I have involuntary muscle spasms which tend to over react when I'm in pain or stressed.
so I'm absolutely terrified I'm going to jolt when given the epidural.
even if someone were to hold me, they get pretty violent depending on my stress or pain level.
I read that they give you numbing medication right next to where the epidural goes and it's a hell of a lot more painful than the epidural.
not looking forward to labor at all. 😞
I was super paranoid for the same reasons when I got it with my first daughter. It wasn't painful and the doctor giving it to me was super good and talked me through it to help keep my nervous calm.
you feel like pressure... and then its done.. the lady that did mine hit my nerves in my spine not once but twice (I kicked my mom) I had a panic attack on the or table but that's because I am a belly breather and not a chest breather... but after my momma prayed over me and even the doctors bowed their heads I remember hearing a nurse say she has never seen someone calm down so quickly in an OR or felt such peace from a prayer either... but everyone is different love I'm sure you will do fine.
