So I already had one c-section due to preeclampsia. Baby number two is coming next Wednesday by c-section and I am terrified!!!! I'm so worried that the epidural is going to go too high and cause me to not be able to breath! I didn't have time to worry last time but now I have a week to freak out!!!!!! Uggggg

@lacywriter91, Missouri baptist...I had no problems the first time. I suffer from bad anxiety as it is so I know I'm just getting worked up. I will ask about the oxygen though...thanks ladies for the tips!

That's definitely a very common fear. We just have to remember that the Anesthesiologist has done tons of epidurals and knows what he (or she) is doing. Like @mamesey said, if they don't automatically give you oxygen then ask for it and it will help calm you. Make sure you voice your fears to your doctor, the nurse that's helping with the epidural, and to the anesthesiologist before they start the prep for the epidural. You'll be okay.😊

If you feel that way, ask for oxygen! I could barely breathe during mine but I didn't ask for oxygen (stupid me). It would've helped a lot

Vaginal labor is so easy I would rather take the contractions any day than to have to have a c section

So I have the choice of a VBAC or c-section. Induction is off the table unless I go over 40 weeks. Last time I had an emergency c-section. Both have pros and cons! Decisions decisions!
