What do you mommas think about letting you're LO's use a pacifier ? (To a certain age) my cousin is…

My 3 yo nieces teeth are REALLY messed up because they grew molded to the "bink" so i won't be giving my son one. but i don't see a problem other than that

@naomiedgd, do you know how long she used it ? With all my nephews, all used pacis and their teeth are fine. Stopped using it around 8 months or so

She is still using it. Trying to take it away from her has been a struggle since she was 6 months old. she grew reliant on it and can't do ANYTHING without it and will scream and cry for it if she doesnt have it.

my 10 month old has 2 teeth that just came in. she hates her bink now. I think she has taken it away from herself. sbe dont even wanna play with it.

We use mam pacis because they promote healthy tooth development. My boy will use them as long as he wants. I'm personally all for self weening. With pacis and breastfeeding. I believe it is good for people to have an item that helps them find comfort.

@newmommy_2016, I used the nuk ones. not the funny looking ones. my daughter also had reflux and that seemed to help her sooth it.

I tried to keep a Shusher *paci* away from my son and he sucked his thumb instead. I decided that it's easier to "accidentally" destroy his Shusher than it is to destroy his fingers.

I use the soothies pacifier only if she wants it. she doesn't take it all the time and prefers her hands
