Ladies when did your drs start doing pelvic exams ? I'm 38 weeks and I asked for one today and they said after 39 weeks

mine did one at 28 weeks to check for signs of preterm labor then they start doing them every appt at 34 weeks.

Mine starts at 36 weeks.. They're starting it next week for me.

Mine did one at 36 because I was spotting and after that at 38 and so on

Mine didn't start till 39 weeks. It can cause infection.

I think also if you're not having any signs of labor like contractions or your belly hasn't dropped then there's no reason for them to check. They kept asking me if I was feeling anything. And I really wasn't other than lightning crotch. I only had contractions after they checked me and it was only because of that.

My doctor started checking at 36 weeks. Just because your not having contractions doesn't mean your not dilating.

@valrocks, how many weeks were you when you had your baby?

I was induced at 40+4 because my baby was huge and I wasn't having any signs.

South Miami. It was nice.

My sister in law was L&D there for a while. I got special treatment.

@valrocks, that's good I heard a lot of good things about that one, they said they'd send me there if I had Mia before 37 weeks but I'm past that so I'm having her at west Kendall baptist

One of my friends delivered there 2 weeks before I had my baby. It's nice too. Everything is new
