The travel system I was given as a gift has a car seat with isofix base and my car doesn't have isofix fittings so looks like me and OH have to try and magic money out of this air this close to baby to buy a new travel system😭😭 not what I need right now and so close to baby being here 😭😭😭
We've discovered that the car seat fits in my mums car which is good so going to hang onto it until we find another one, we've seen a few and a few friends who have recently had babies are on about selling their travel systems so fingers crossed we can find one before she arrives lol. That's a pain making them all isofix, more expense for new mums -_- @daniluvsdis xx
@briony1994, Yeh, I'd be the same! That's what I wanted! But it's a quick fix if you can't get the funds together quickly! My car doesn't have isofix and Infact it's quite old so most car seats don't fit in! I tried loads in the back seat but the seatbelt isn't long enough for rear facing seats at all! So I've had to disable my passenger air bag and demote my OH to the back! Haha! The shop told me that soon they'll stop making ordinary seats and only make isofix seats! So not only do new mums have to buy a car seat but they have to buy a new car too!! But if you already have one you can keep it till you need a new one! x
I was considering that but I want a whole travel system because say if we go shopping and she's asleep in the car seat I don't want to wake her to put her in another thing if you know what I mean @daniluvsdis xx
Can you not use the travel system as a pram and then just get a separate car seat for the car? Just then it's not such a massive expense this close to baby?x
Oh right @sinlou93 no can't get the part for my car, tried asking halfords, ford and several different garages @homely.mummy.no2 xx
thats why i suggested mothercare hun cause some have to be put in different ways xx
This one doesn't have indents on it for some reasons, not sure why and I don't want to steal it in without because I'm my eyes it wouldn't be safe enough:/ @sinlou93 @tg123456789 xx
can you not fit it to car with seatbelt? most car seats are seat belt fitted and choice of isofix. xx @briony1994
how to fit the car seat in the car as my sister had one that didnt have indents but still could strap it in. xx
I'd double check it maybe have a look online, I wasn't aware they could make them without car seat indents so they may be in a funny place but on it
take it too mothercare they will advise u xx
I'm not sure of the name to by honest because I don't have the system at mine and it has been gifted to me by a family friend, all I know is it's a good one @charlottegilbert :/ xx
Neither did I till I saw this one :/ @charlottegilbert x
I could try that, didn't think of that tbh, thanks @abbi_ cx
It does come off but it doesn't have the indents to be able to put the seat belt around it like it would others and without the indents I don't feel it is safe enough to put my child in :/ @charlottegilbert xx
See if there's any other car seats that will fit the pram? @briony1994 there may be a universal one xxx
I've taken my car to ford Hun and I can't get the fittings for my car whatsoever :/ it's just a shock this close to baby's arrival and money situation :/ @abbi_ xx
Take it into halfords Hun, they may be able to help. They could have an adaptor. If not I hope you manage to sort it 🤕 xxx
Oh ok, I thought they all had to be able to use with seat belts. Sorry, u need to be happy with what you feel safe in doing x
This one is an isofix car seat and doesn't have the indents to slot the seat belt around it so in my eyes that isn't safe enough to be putting my daughter in x @h04
Car seats don't need the Iso fix u can use all car seats with a seat belt.
How is baby trend travel systems? I'm reading reviews and there products don't seem to good. I purchased a travel system so now I'm wondering if I should return it. Anyone have/had problems with any of there strollers and or car seats?
