Hey future and current mommas trying to get pregnant. This is my journey so far. I had 2 miscarriages, 1 at 16 and another at 19. after the second one we started trying, got pregnant 4 months later in January. ended up having gestational diabetes. had my healthy baby girl in September 2013. Had another miscarriage in may, got married in July 2014, then started trying right after that. After more than a year of trying then things started going down hill. in November 2015 I had my period. then 6 days after I stopped bleeding I started again, but it was a thick black blood, pretty heavy. so I went to the doc and she said it was most likely that all my lining didn't shed and old tissue was coming out. we'll before I could get in for an ultrasound to confirm that I had severe pain, vomiting and everything. so I went to the hospital and found out I had a cyst on my right ovary. got in with the surgeon to discuss options and with my severe periods he was pretty sure I had endometriosis and scheduled me for a diagnostic laproscopy. I was working for an accounting firm at the time so I could do surgery till after tax season. so April 22 of this year I had the surgery. turns out things were much worse than anticipated. I did indeed have endometriosis and it covered my uterus and right ovary. there was another cyst on my right ovary and my doc said it was an egg that tried to ovulate but didn't make it out of the ovary, so it attached and made a cyst. he said by the looks of the ovary I hadn't actually ovulated for a while. they just stick and create cysts. so he cleaned it off pretty good to give me a chance at ovulating from that one again. I also had some big spots on my uterus, not just the spider web looking stuff, so he cauterized those. my left ovary was perfect, plump and pearly white. but it was in a weird position and would most likely have a hard time finding the folopian tube. and he also saw that my uterus was much more tilted than we thought. So he did the best he could and cleaned me up and at my follow up appointment he said something I will never forget. "you are most likely going to need help getting pregnant. if you conceive, carry full term and have the baby naturally there will be no doubt on my mind that God is looking out for you" now I'm 2 months post surgery a day still trying. if you want to follow my journey please feel free to follow me.
