we got the ok at 4 months and he's done great. she just said he's holding his head well and thought he was ready. He's now 7 months and is starting to taste what we eat

It depends on your doctor. We got the ok at 4 months, but we're waiting a bit longer for our LO to sit a bit better. There are a lot of new studies out that are saying you don't have to wait the full 6 months

I know I'll be breastfeeding my son as long as possible. but his doctor said she would talk to me about introducing baby food at his 4 month appointment because he's gaining weight really fast and she thinks it might be a good idea to start. all I've been doing right now is giving him rice cereal before bed. and he definitely already shows interest when I eat lol

You now aren't supposed to until at least 6 months.. and they still need breast milk or formula until at least a year old. food before 1 is just for fun (: but babies will start showing interest in what your eating! and usually that's around the time to try to start introducing food!
