Thank god i didn't have a C section but was close to having one. I believe the female body was made to birth a baby. I regret getting all the medication i got especially the epidural but because of the peer pressure of the doctors and nurses i got it. Now a days doctors wanna finish their work fast and take emergency interventions just for the heck of it because they don't believe in the strength of a women birthing a baby. I myself worked with an ObGyn and saw how he wanted to get everything over with. Of course when it comes to a life threatening situation then emergency intervention should be performed. Our culture can now schedule the birth of a baby. Sadly.
Wow your doctor peer pressured you? Must suck.. I've never gotten peer pressured in my life so if my doctor did I wouldn't of listened either. You had one unprofessional Doctor
That's awful. I'm sorry you had that experience. My mom also had a horrible experience with one of her births, enough I really think she could have sued the hospital. Doctors can brutalize their patients and ruin what should be a beautiful time for them!
Oh i went in with no signs of labor 😵 yes i was at 7. thats what im saying, thats the point of my post 😂 i could of done it without it, i was very close! Ugh and when i was at 10 already the nurse would tell me to not push yet just bc i was at 10 didn't mean i had to push right away. I was pushing anyway lol until the dr got their and ruined it for me @cookiemonster1216
I was at the hospital from sunday 7am and i delivered till tuesday and left on a thursday lol i hated when the nurses would check bc i felt so tight and dry down there!!! @p0790
I went in dilated at almost a 4, but didn't get to a 6 until 33hrs into induction. They gave you an epidural at a 7?? That seems really late in the game! I thought you couldn't get it once you were at a 7!
@cookiemonster1216, i know right!! When i was finally dilating i was at 7cm all drugged up thats when the Dr called me (he wasn't there yet 😑) to get an epidural and i kept saying no until i he persuaded me to get it. When he got there he just cut me, delivered my baby and left. He was there for about 20 min @cookiemonster1216
@jgarciamua, yeah they tried for 4 whole days with me at that point i was already too sore from nurses checking me if i was dialating, tired and swollen from all the ivs they almost sent me home but i was already going on 42w thank god they didn't!
They were gonna schedule me for c section due to the same reason i had a short cervix and wasn't dilating at all. But thats why it took me 48 hours of labor 😊 @p0790
There is a lot of unnecessary pressure put on mom's who don't need it. I was very grateful my doctor was very supportive of my choice of a natural birth, even though I had to be induced and had a long labor. Most doctors would have told me I needed a csection after no progress after 30hrs of labor induced by pitocin, much less 48hrs. But thanks to my doctor, doula, dh, and family support, I achieved my goal. Doctors do a lot of pressuring and I've seen it first hand. You have the right to deny any procedure you don't want to do if not medically necessary, life or death situation. In that case, do what has to be done to save mama and baby.
i was way pass my due date as well and i got induced after failing a distress test and after 4 long days in the hospital my doctor asked if i wanted a csection i said yes then later she said that my cervix was too short and i was never gonna be able to have my baby vaginal my baby had already made a knot with the umbilical cord so if i wouldve not gotten induced God knows what couldve happen to my baby im not trying to be rude at all but not all womens body are made to have babies naturally at least not mine unfortunately
Its ok I'm not asking for you to agree or disagree because i really dont care😊 i went through 48 hours of labor due to not progressing/dilating, with a cirvidil/pitocin induction that was done 4 times, an epidural and a episiotomy done without consent so i really didnt have a natural vaginal birth. @mama_tj
