Good evening mommies!!

Quick question... I'm on WIC and I went in yesterday and asked about a breast pump.. The lady said they do not give them out until the baby is 30 days old...? She said they want me to feed without pumping for the first 30 days of baby's life... When I called and asked my insurance they told me to ask WIC for one... Do I need to have one within the first 30 days? Or just wait it out? Maybe ask my insurance again if we could order one? I'm due July 5th..

A Breast Pump and More is the name of the company. Google it. They take care of all of the insurance paperwork! It was a cinch.

It's a CA law that insurance providers are required to pay 100% of one. I got mine already. I will search my email in a moment to see what the website was.

I was only breastfeeding and my baby was always hungry so I bumped and I was only getting an oz from both sides so I would have one just in case cuz my baby wouldn't get full and I didn't know why I had to add formula

I was told that you shouldn't pump for 6 weeks after birth until your supply is established

They say you shouldn't pump for the fist 6wks so your supply can level out and you don't get an oversupply or under supply

is it true that WIC doesn't give a breast pump or formula for the first 30 days?

Breast pump covered by insurance

I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

You may want to ask your doctor for a prescription for a hospital grade pump if you
