Are there learning programs for the summer for 1st graders?? I'm so sad my son has failed and he will be in 1st grade…

you gotta take this complaint to the school bored love it break my heart to know y'all going through this I went and raised hell pregnant and all I liked to put my foot in my son's teacher ass and then 3 weeks before school let out my son's private therapist required he be moved out of her class everything went so smoothly I use the school resources and also have my son in private practices also just to make sure ever one doing they job I live in de delaware county is pretty good schools but if you take him to the school district now they can help start the iep now (individualized education plan) and he can take it to any school he wishes with him and they can help if there are programs out I know you going through so much please don't give up I really wished I lived closer I could really help you somebody was responsible for his treatment somebody didn't do their job so someone need to be fired write up a formal complaint against all parties involved take it to the Philadelphia school district @lexirosex3

@mommycheeks, I did request an evaluation they were suppose to evaluate him and start the process and never did. So I went and spoke to the principle and everything and they still never did it. I explained to his teacher that he needs more attention and help Because of his problems and she didn't even listen and all she kept doing was giving him all this work which wasn't helping one bit. I tried my best to get him evaluated and the school never did their part. I always hated that school. When I moved from Allentown back here, he was only in this school for 4 months & they failed him.

You have to request him get an education evaluation through the school psychologist he needs an IEP they couldn't have failed him if he had one it will follow him to ever school he attend from now until 12 grade graduation my son suffered from similar stuff n adhd and anxiety I refused to let them fail him he will be entering 3rd grade this up coming year I just refused I went in even home schooled for two months while getting everything in place @lexirosex3

@amaperalta03, yeah thanks to the guy he works with he asked my fiancé if he needed an apartment.. I was like YESSSS prayers answered.. So now my fiancé will be finding out hopefully today when he speaks to him about how soon we can move in. Things are finally turning around for us.

@amaperalta03, well, I won't be going to Allentown, I wanted to but my fiancé wanted to live close to his job which is in Delaware county, PA my fiancé said the schools there are amazing so I'm hoping things will turnout for the better. Hopefully we can move by next week.

@ladysix, It pisses me off because I'm strict with him but since I live with my mother, step father and his god father they all 3 spoil him and go back on what I say and it pisses me off that's why i can't wait to move because I don't have to deal with them being like that with him because I take things away from him and they go and give it back to him like wth it gets me mad.

@amaperalta03, it's definitely stressful. He was doing so well in Allentown and than moving to Philly and this school district just messed up everything. Thanks again.. Can't wait to move from this place.

oh wow that's ridiculous the school didn't do their part on helping your son.

You should call early intervention to evaluate him Hun and if he needs extra help they offer it

@rebecca4687, they didn't give me any information. But he won't be going to this school next year. He used to have speech therapy when he was younger he was 3-4 but his teacher and principal were starting for him to get evaluated but they never got around to doing it.. So now I'm going to have to get him evaluated at the new school he'll be going to since me and my fiancé will be moving into our own place.

Yes it's a website that has been showing really promising results.

does he have an IEP? my daughter has a couple learning disabilities and I asked about holding her back due to she's behind but they said they don't do that unless absolutely necessary and because of the no child left behind. and if he failed the school should of given you info on summer school.
