Ex says he wants nothing to do with baby because I wanted to hyphen the last name so it was both of our names. He doesn't agree that's okay.. I feel like I should stand my ground & not let him get his way. What do you ladies think?
Even if he was speaking out of anger it's unacceptable . I told my twins dad that I was gonna hyphenate their name and he said it made him mad and was like "just give them your name " but he never said anything like he wouldn't be there for them. The next day he apologized for even getting upset and we are sticking with the hyphenation .
I wish I knew what was going through his head. I just can't understand someone not wanting to see their baby girl.
He's probably speaking out of anger but again I don't know him personally to say that's the case
If he's acting like that, you shouldn't even give the baby his last name. If he's not going to be there, he doesn't deserve for the baby to carry on his last name. That's not a rule lol that it has to be his.
Well if he isn't your SO then he can get over it. my parents were dating but not married when they had me and my name was my mother's name until I was in first grade then they legally changed it. if your son in the future wants his dad's last name after you see how he is as a father then let him do it, but it's all your decisiom
If he's saying that he wants nothing to do with the baby because of a name, what else is he going to use as an excuse to not be there for the baby? I would go with just your name.
