So I've been seeing post (not on here) of moms that let their baby sleep on their tummy and they don't believe is that dangerous like they say. I personally know someone who has a 5 month old and her baby only likes sleeping on her tummy. My baby doesn't even like tummy time but we still do it for a few min lol
both my babies slept on their bellies since birth. it's just natural. and my 2nd baby (now 5 months old) couldn't sleep on her back because she had bad reflux and I was getting ready for bed one night and for some reason had a feeling I should check on her because our dogs were acting funny (I never peek in when they recently fell asleep because I don't want to wake my kids up) but when I checked on her she was sleeping on her back and spit up and it had gone up her nose and back down her throat and she couldn't breathe or make a single noise. she only sleeps on her back in bed with me.
I know I would too! lol I was always checking on her breathing like a nervous wreck! Still do! lmao My daughter now sleeps on her stomach most of the night she likes sleeping with her bum up in the air lol haha @maddiesmommy022916
@jgarciamua, she loves to do it on my chest if I lay on the bed or in recliner just doesn't like doing it on floor. @chibibunnyx, I put my baby to sleep on her back and I still wake up a lot checking on her lol I couldn't imagine laying her on her stomach to sleep. When she is old enough to roll over and rolls to her stomach on her own then I'll be ok with it. I've been doing it for almost 4 months and she still absolutely hates it like she did when was born. Hasn't gotten any better.
The mommies that i am talking about let their newborns who are now a couple months old sleep on their tummy all night long. I think my friends baby did too @maddiesmommy022916
Tummy time is all about practice. They don't have to enjoy it immediately. Just a few minutes even a minute will start getting them used to it. 😊 @maddiesmommy022916
I wouldn't recommend letting a newborn sleep all night on their tummy. I would prefer them sleep on their side if anything. Just cause it's better to watch them if they sleep on their tummy. I get super anxious lol @jgarciamua
Have you tried it while carrying her? Like you sitting down kinda slanted (idk if its the right word) and you guys are chest to chest?
my daughter screams when I try to do tummy time with her. She absolutely hates it. Yesterday I tried tummy time 3 different times. First two times she laid there for a second then tried her hardest to roll over and she did it!!! Later, I tried again and she just threw her head down and screamed at me. Most of time I can't even get her to hold her head up she just lays it down and cries for me to pick her up even though I know she can hold it up when she isn't lazy lol. It's like she knows if she barriers face into blanket and ground I will pick her up because it makes me nervous lmao.
Yea thats what i figured out. I guess as long as the mommies take precautions then everything should be good @chibibunnyx 😊
When my daughter was born she didn't like being on her back but she had to be for the first 6 days because she had jaundice and was under the light. When she got home she wanted to sleep on her stomach so I would let her when I was awake and could keep an eye on her and when she was able to roll over successfully from front to back and back to front I let her sleep on her stomach. I do the same with my son, he only likes to sleep on his side or on his stomach so I just keep an eye on him. When I put him on his back he wakes up immediately. I do know that it isn't safe and increases the chances of sids but I believe that if I do my part he will be fine ☺️
