i absolutely hate when people pirece babies ears. it's one of my biggest pet peeves. tell me I'm not the only one.
If done at that right age and properly, none of that is in issue. @arivera64 when they're young enough, they don't know to mess with their ears. It's just another thing to clean for you. The earrings that are used when ears are pierced have backs that lock on. I even had horrible trouble getting them undone and it took several attempts to get them unlocked from my daughters ears. And I had the same ones when I got my second holes at 10 years old. Waiting until their older is just fine. It hurts either way. There's no extra risks (when done at the right time. Professionals require the child to be a certain age and up to date on vacs). They either decide to have them or decide to take them out as an older child.
@kayleegracesmommy, I see nothing wrong with it but it should b professionally done you don't need to do it immediately after birth when time comes but to each his own....
I wouldn't say i hate it, but it isn't something I would do if I had a daughter. It isn't necessary and doesn't make a baby any cuter imo. There's no benefit but many risks. Infection, baby pulling earrings out and tearing the lobe, baby pulling earrings out and swallowing them....oy
My mom wait till we asked which I was about 5 .
