Definitely do not trust what the ER says. Almost everyone I've known that they've told (including myself) that we were having a "threatened miscarriage" was Bologna. 6 weeks is extremely early. My OB couldn't see a heartbeat until 8 weeks with me. Call you actual Doctor. The ER sucks

don't trust an er. I went at 11 weeks and they said they couldn't find anything. then went to the doc two days later and she was perfectly fine. half the time ers are just in a hurry to get you in and out.

You know, ERs truly suck at sonograms. I went when I was 6weeks and they said my sac was empty and measuring at 5w3d but my levels were incredibly high. I went back two days later to the same ER to test my levels again since I was out of state they wanted me to go back. Well my levels doubled and they did another ultrasound (this time the techs were super patient and spent an hour checking everything out abdominally and vaginally) and guess what? They found my baby AND his heartbeat was great. Baby was measuring 6w2d. How does a baby age almost a whole week in just two days?? Cause the first tech sucked and didn't spend more than 20 mins on me. I wouldn't trust them. Go to your OB and get a second opinion

@canaryv, they weren't even an obgyn clinic. Just a hospital that happen to do u/s. She said it didn't look normal :( we saw baby. She told us it looked like they had a heartbeat but wasn't sure

Did they measure the sac? Sometimes you can't see the baby early on. I was considered a threatened miscarriage because of spotting but my baby is just fine now. I will pray for you tho 💛
