May seem a silly question but very intrigued as a first time Mummy!! What happens when you stay overnight when you first have your baby? My partner doesn't want to stay and I'm a bit apprehensive as to what to expect!!! Xx
Get home when u can that's my advice! Awful experiences I've had are women who don't get up to there babies. Or sat on there phones or just disappear side cribs knocking into my cubicle. Noisey Visitors, Midwifes treating u like u lost your dignity lol . I want out asap this time I never sleep and get a grump with the messing with me. But I have to stay 24 hr min this time as I have to have the drip up for ages afterwards to stem bleeding
I had an overnight stay on a ward for my last baby as I had given birth about 11pm and I couldn't really sleep. I had to leave my baby crying as the midwifes were begging for a wee sample. but the other babies didn't get woken up. there's always nurses popping in and.out to check on you and baba. During the day the baby will have their first checks and it's quite noisy so hard to sleep. x
@bethhy, i was like this when i had my first.. my baby slept all through the noise it was me who couldnt cause every time i dosed off a baby would cry and i wasnt sure if it was mine lol 😂😂 you will be fine tbh you spend most of your time feeling overwhelmed and just find your self staring at your beautiful babybxx
I haven't personally given birth yet, but have been told by other womens experiences, I'm guessing it's probably going to be a restless night if your on a ward with other women and babies. Midwives and nurses also go around making sure things are okay, so I'm guessing it probably will be sleepless. Depends on the hospital, bed situation (how many mothers and babies) everywhere is different. Xx
Depends what happens for the birth, what time of day/night you give birth, if baby needs any care or if you do. But I don't know what happens over night yet, I'm hoping to find out soon if possible 😂 xx
