So I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.... Everything I read on the internet makes it sound horrible and I am worried and scared can anyone help me with this?😭
They told me I have to check my blood sugar four times a day and when I go to see the dietician they are gonna give me the blood sugar device. @mommygreene
Yeah, and she was in labor for 19 hours. It sucked. My baby weighs 3 1/2 lbs right now and I'm 32weeks so we'll just see but the whole drawing blood all the time sucks.
Omg lord I hope my baby does NOT come out huge! I will love her just the same but I know that's gotta hurt! @mommygreene
My best friend baby was almost 10lbs, they caught hers later on though she was 30 weeks and ended up having him at 35weeks. So it's good that you know early. I have it too, and I've always been healthy and ate right.
Thank you guys! They are gonna have me on a diet but nothing got accomplished today I have to go see the dietician first. But is it true the baby usually doesn't make it past the due date?
as long as you keep it under control, everything will be fine. doctors were worried my son was going to be a "big" baby due to GD and he only ended up being 7 lb 8 oz at birth which is actually a normal for the average baby nowadays. I've seen women without GD have 9 lb babies so it just depends on how you control it
Thank you for the reassurance @ginnalynn
