Advice? Dive in head first, parenting doesnt come with an instruction manual. Your kids need you. Also, dad's of girls, listen up: Teach your daughter's the right way, and show them they are precious so they won't make terrible mistakes in life. With a great daddy by her side protecting her and guiding her, she will grow up strong, and make good choices.

I read this just yesterday, and loved it. It's so important for a father to be involved when they have children, but I look around and see so many who's father is only around for a few days a week..or even worse..not at all. Our children need us. Our children need their fathers. Studies and statistics have shown just how important fathers are to all children in general, but this is especially true for little girls. Meg Meeker, M.D. in her book Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters lists the following facts: · Toddlers securely attached to fathers are better at solving problems. · Six-month old babies score higher on tests of mental development if their dads are involved in their lives. · With dads present in the home, kids manage school stress better. · Girls whose fathers provide warmth and control achieve higher academic success. · Girls who are close to their fathers exhibit less anxiety and withdrawn behaviors. These statistics show how important involved fathers are to the mental and emotional development of their little girls. On Psych Central, Erika Krull, MS, LMHP posted a blog titled “Divorce – What Girls Miss When Dad Leaves the Home . ” She states, “Part of a girl's psyche is created by what her father reflects back to her. A girl needs to know that a man loves her, values her, will protect her, and will be dependable for her. It takes years for this influence to sink in and develop inside a girl. And this can't happen if her dad's not there much.” For more, here is the link ❤️ https://www.ucg.org/beyond-today/the-dynamic-influence-a-father-has-on-a-daughter

Take time. Life is soo busy and hectic, take time to enjoy the small stuff. Make time, put down the cell phone, clear the schedule, get up early, stay up late what ever it takes- just make time. You don't want to miss it cause one day you will wish you had it all back.

Change diapers. Give baths. Put your child to sleep. Be a father not just a play thing for your kid. You're just as much of a parent as a mother so act like it.
