I was putting away all babies bottles, steriliser etc today and got a little overwhelmed with it…

I had this convo with my midwife a few weeks ago @jetrum. she said they like you to take in ready made formula and a bottle so they can show you how to sterilise etc. I've bought a pack of 6 ready made bottles (a starter kit) to take plus a bigger bottle of ready made formula and one empty bottle just incase. xxx

I was worrying about all this 😂 I am formula feeding so I am taking my own bottles and sterilising my them before I leave and putting them in a separate bag to everything else. I'm also taking a 1 litre bottle of ready to feed formula :)

they have little disposal sterilised bottles there hun just take already made milk x

@mich77, @firsttimemummy21 @street29 thank you. I did think I was been a bit stupid thinking about taking the steriliser! lol but how do you know if you've never done this before!? it's all very overwhelming don't you think? Thanks again for your advice xxx

aw don't worry hun we've all been Through it! just don't panic they r there to help u! just take already made milk or a starter pack and they'll have little bottles for u 😊 never feel stupid! xx @jetrum xxx

@jetrum, I know! No one ever tells you the simple things! I had no idea you're meant to use a sheet in the carry cot part of the pram! Nor that you can't use sleeping bags until they're at least 10lb! xx

exactly @firsttimemummy21 I didn't even know about those either! And apparently you can only leave baby in the car seat/bouncer chair thing (basically anything where they are in that slanted position) for 1 & 1/2 hours a day at most? so that made me rethink about the whole pram system and everything! xxx

I think all hospitals are different as the one near me doesn't provide the bottles @street29 @jetrum however in the cow and gate starter pack I got it comes with sterile bottles and teats that you just open and screw together. il find you a pic. different brands do them aswell as not sure which milk you're going for. I've seen sma and aptimil xxx

I've bought ready made aptimil. They are small bottles with sterilised teats.x

@titch.82, that's what I've just ordered off amazon? the starter kit? so I take it they just stay sterilised until you open them? @tg123456789 it can feel quite daunting at times can't it! xxx
