any advice for the glucose test? i heard you shouldnt eat or drink before it? super worried about keeping the drink down as well, if you throw it up how long do they wait to donit again?

I ate toast and butter before mine. Along with a bottle of water. Drank the orange one, and as soon as that hour hit after drinking it, I got really hot, and I threw up.. But they drew my blood immediately after I came out of the bathroom. I passed my glucose the first time.
Advice: don't hold it in your mouth just take it in gulps. if your afraid of failing then don't eat before the test or eat a light meal
@oliverandmommy, is correct, try to not eat anything sweet and no eating anything after 10:00 pm the night before, also no breakfast in the morning before the test either, i did the 1 hr test, barely passed it so i had to do the 3 hr one last Wednesday, i passed thank God
If you throw up then I think they'll schedule you to do the three hour test.
I've heard different things about if you can eat or not, it depends on the doctor I guess.
I just did mine a few days ago and I was totally fine. The drink isn't that bad at all to me, tasted like flat orange pop( it was at least cold) I did not eat anything or drink anything besides water. I won't know if I passed til my next appointment with my midwife.
My best advice is don't eat anything with sugar for 24 hours before the test. I failed my first glucose test and passed the second.
I ate a Twinkie and had a Starbucks coffee before mine 😂 and I passed. Just ask for the fruit punch if they have it! It was really good lol
