I just want to cry my eyes out an scream I'm in so much pain ........ I EBF an have never had this issue with my son but with my daughter whom I just had 4 days is giving me issues with BF ..... my boobs for 1 are swollen beyond repair they are to me hot I feel like I'm buring up an making her hot on top of that my nipples are cracked an beat from her latching hard an I'm not sure why I'm in so much pain I've done this before I know all my positions an how to get her to latch so idk what's wrong or how to fix it I have to feed her but it just hurts so bad please any advise will help I don't have Dr.apt till Tuesday .... an I'm using a lot of nipple creams to help as well an wic is closed so I have no one but Google an preggie chat

A nipple shield saved my life. I got t from the lactation consultant at the hosp but they also sell them at Walmart, rite aid etc. I'd call ahead to double check. Measure the circumference of your nipple first. Hot hard boobs doesn't necessary warrant an ER visit they sound like they're just engorged. I know it seems impossible but the more you bf the better they will feel. My 6 day old daughter has a hard latch too and she uses her bottom gums to suck. Ouch. I'm nearly pain free with this shield!
Also try expressing them a little before feeding. Sometimes that helps them latch easier. And maybe even expressing a little, giving it to her 1st so she isn't "starving" when she first latches on. But yeah if they're painful all over and you can't wait til Tues go in to get checked. Wish you the best!
