Lol yup @showersoverflowers he wasn't even supposed to have one again til July, but for some reason they decided to double up in June to skip July (and forced them to come in on father's day weekend no less)? Ugh. I'm counting the hours til he's home today 😂

offff course. my Hubby's never doubles up except in January to make up for skipping December. He always misses New Years Eve. He did have his 3 week combat training (the one before deployment) scheduled right over the time I'm due and was able to get out of that... thank goodness

he's not leaving until March so many will be around 8 months depending on when he arrives. he's going to be gone a year. this is his second deployment but first with babies. my heart totally breaks for my two year old. he loves his daddy so completely

@showersoverflowers, ahh gotcha. They usually send hubs and his unit through cst right before his deployments. His last one was right after our oldest was born so he doesn't remember it. But his next one is slated for November/December next year, and we're like y'all - he loves his daddy so much. 😟 Extra not looking forward to it this time.

6 months, plus their cst is usually 4 weeks, so he's usually gone 7 months each time @showersoverflowers (He's AF reserves)

that still sucks. I envy those with 4 month deployments or just people who do not deploy at all

@showersoverflowers, yeah me too. I hate when people assume reservists only do their weekends. My hubs has been deployed or tdy more than most of his active duty friends (except for those in the same type of unit). Next year is deployment #3. How long has he been in?
