What I wish I was told about after giving birth! However I am happy to take this all in my stride to be a mother
-How much it burns to wee or even walk without feeling Satan is down there with a blow torch and how swollen I am it looks like the elephant man
-The backache and contractions that feel like your back in labour again infact it's worse without any drugs!
- breastfeeding is harder than it looks and no matter how hard you try you feel like it's never enough
-love for them isn't always instant it takes a while for the shock to go away before your insane love for them sets in (it did for me anyway)
-you think you'll want visitors and everyone to meet them but all you want to do is hold your baby and stare at them without being asked 8328187281 questions

yea it was awful. but as i said Jacob is safe and well and so am i so while how he got he was traumatic it no longer matters cuz when i look at my son it all goes away @holliesinead. thanx @zoee23 hope yr feeling better soon x

I had my son 2 weeks ago tommrow and im still goi g through agony now!! Not fun at all i feel all of ur pain ladies x
@karenb1601, oh Hun that's awful!! I had back to back to I didn't want the epidural but after the pain I was In that all went out the window too 😂 xxx
@holliesinead, i had to have an assisted delivery in theatre with ventouse, which failed, then forceps after 47 hrs of labour so i had to have an episiotomy to allow room for the instruments. i never wanted an epidural but my son turned back to back during labour and i couldnt cope with the pain. i didnt plan anything that happened except the birthing pool which was great but i dont care that my birth plan went out the window because my son is here and we are both safe and well. thats all that matters x
@newmommyapril I had an emergency"sunroof" delivery and it's just as bad, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but ouch!
Plus I read about the santitary towels u do something with and put in freezer then put on to ease the pain. Meant to help too @holliesinead
Oh boy. maybe I'll opt for the sunroof... 😫
I recommend sitting in the bath to wee. In warm water
@suzie80, that is me now!!! My OH found on the toilet yesterday sobbing and screaming whilst weeing he had to pick me up no one ever said how much it would hurt xx
I remember my first baby. Sitting on the lop gripping the toilet roll holder crying to wee. Not emptying my bowels for over a week and being stitched up was like hell on earth after. I had some serious tearing as well. Luckily I only had grazes the next few but boy do they hurt roo
@karenb1601, yeah she had to cut me :( ahhhh don't Hun I haven't gone yet still did you have back back after where the needle went in? I keep getting shooting spasms from it xx
did u have an episiotomy? i did and its awful. and dont even mention trying to go number 2 after an epidural! @holliesinead x
@karenb1601, I knew I'd be in pain after and it wouldn't look good but my god I didn't realise how swollen it would be or how painful it is to wee 😭🔥
i know exactly how u feel. especially the downstairs part. my undercarriage looks and feels like something from a horror film! @holliesinead x
