maybe he isn't getting much air? my son sleeps after late night feedings with no problem.. but during the day if he doesn't burp it hurts him later.. I'd say as long as he isn't in pain you should be fine :)

@andrewsmommy, I've been using bottles with him since I brought him home and like I said up until about 2 days ago, he's been burping after each feeding. That's why I'm so confused as to why he's not burping now. We haven't changed anything that I can think of that would affect him in anyway. @mommybug when he was burping it would take a while for him to burp but he'd still burp. Lately he hadn't been at all. He doesn't cry or seem like he's bothered by it. He'll go straight to sleep after each feeding and wakes up for his next feeding with no problems. That's why I'm so confused as to what could be the problem.

and of he tries to eat without burping from the previous feeding he spits up..

i think they still need to be burped.. when my son doesn't burp after awhile hes crying bc it hurts.. takes forever to get burp outta him though..

All babies are different so expect different answers but when my son started to feed from a bottle it took forever to get him to burp but the dr says its because with a bottle he gets more air and it makes it hard for them to burp. doesnt matter if its formula or brestmilk.
