Opinoins on circumcision??? I chose to circumcise my first son, and planning on it this time. I wanted to see your views…

I have five boys. One was born with hypospadia (basically no extra foreskin) the other four are circumcised. One of my boys had to have his redone when he was 3.5 because they didn't take off enough skin. My mom told me it helps with infections to have it done so I did. This was before we carried phones around and when dial up was our internet connection. I took moms advice for my first two. The third is the one who had double surgery. Fourth is the hypospadia one. Fifth is done, after going back and fourth for a long time. Ultimately I decided I would rather put him through the procedure while he's young versus having him make that decision at 18. My sister didn't have her son done. She said her husband doesn't have feeling where his was done and they didn't want to take the chance. To each their own. @_mommyoftwo_

my oldest son is circumcised but I felt so badly doing it to him and they ended up not even taking enough off to make a difference that I won't be having it done to this baby.. no need for it.. my fiancé isn't and he's never had issues.. his dad however has had nightmares about it since he was a baby til this day.. not worth the trauma in my eyes but of course to each their own :)

my boy is circumcised, it decreases the likelihood of infection as he grows up (I'm in the medical field and have personally studied it in the lab). to each their own though

We aren't with our boy, after tons of research there's no medical reason too so we aren't

I did with both of my son's, and if my last baby was a boy I would be doing it again. It is personal preference. I am glad I did it, because I would hate for them to have to experience doing it later on in life, if they had a medical need or decided they wanted it done. The healing process is way easier as a baby. To each their own though. I know people who have done it, and people who haven't done it, but my personal choice was to get it done.

mine r and I always if I have a boy. I find it gross to leave a kids forskin on them. can cause problems later in life . just my view

My boys aren't. It isn't medically necessary and it doesn't prevent infections or anything like people believe it does. That's all I can say without making it a huge debate. People should respect the choices of others :)
