When is the best time to get the epidural? When you can't take the pain anymore or before you get to that point?

Got mine at 5cm

I was a big baby and they gave it to me at 3 cm.

I got mine at 8 cm. everyone is different and everyone's pain tolerance is different. You get it when you feel like you need to :)

yeahh i was in so much pain I was crying and begging for it but they couldn't until at least 6 cm bc it slows down labor , because you don't have the urge to push so I guess they wait for you to be more dilated idk but it was terrible. Goodluck and don't worry , just breath through it and you will do great

they usually wait until you've reached 6 cm so until then you basically suffer lol
