I know of another lady who suffered from it. She's a popular YouTube/MUA she said she tried everything including makeup & nothing helped. It's a pregnancy thing unfortunately and will go away slowly after birth. With my 1st I had the skin discolouration (the patchy time) on my chest, nothing would get rid either x

It's called melasma. When you are pregnant your pigment producing cells produce more pigment, especially when exposed to sun. Although you probably do not burn in the sun, make sure you have a moisturiser with a high SPF factor to prevent the darkening from getting any worse.

Exfoliation of the skin will help to lighten and brighten only if you protect it in the day. X

Once hormones settle, your pigment producing cells will regulate agin, and in turn your skin ( if you keep it protected) will lighten again.
