okay , so , everyone is talking about this strep b test and theyre not too far ahead of me pregnancy wise so what is it and what should i expect ? im sure my miswife is going to talk to me about it my next appt or so but im curious .

They swab your vagina, some doctors will also swab down toward your anus. Mine didn't, just my vagina. It wasn't any different than an exam.

Understandable! I didn't know anything about it until I got it done. But @momof5222 I do mean the lady flower lol...are you saying they swabbed you in the butt? It was definitely in the vag for me.. @keepingupwithhenry am I going crazy?
My midwife didn't even have to invade my personal space so to speak, she just swabbed the outside and down towards you butt. It really was nothing, it was so quick and I barely felt anything

Like @keepingupwithhenry said. They just stick a swab that looks like a long q tip up there and swab it around. Uncomfortable, but it's done pretty quickly. But it is very common, if it's positive they just have you take antibiotics during delivery so it doesn't pass to the baby.

Strep B is common during pregnancy. It's kinda like how they swab your throat when they check for strep throat, except it's "down there"
