idk about that much but after every food feeding I give my son a small amount of water to clean his teeth & gums. it also helps soften his poop. i started doing that around 6 almost 7 months.
I'd put less than an oz. I'm actually not 100% sure when they can drink water freely. my mom & doctor just both suggested the water to clean his mouth after feedings.
here's a link i found about how water works. it says to wait until they can drink whole milk. but I'd talk to your pediatrician just to be safe. good luck
