you can choose to put whatever you want in the parenting plan @mommytomia_ they should have someone at the department of child support to help you with any questions you have.. I would.. are you going to be working at all this year otherwise if you have no income you can't file a tax return

he can refuse to go to court, but he will still have to pay.. if he doesn't go to court it looks bad on him and will go more in your favor. I agree on the switching tax returns every year cause when you do go to work you will get a decent amount back when you claim her.. @mommytomia_

Make sure u state in ur court order that 1 year u will claim ur daughter and the next year he will otherwise he can claim her every year and dosent have to give u a dime @mommytomia_

I was going through an actual divorce so the whole process took me 6 months start to finish, so I'm not sure, sorry. Our lawyers handled all of it. They'll be able to tell you more when you go file the paperwork

As long as he has a job that pays a paycheck and not cash under the table, they will be able to look up how much he makes and there's a formula that they will use to figure out how much you get every month. Don't ask me what the formula is because my ex found a way not to use it.

maybe try to work something out with him first, like $50-$100 a week or something, or have him buy everything the baby needs each week. but if he doesn't agree then I say do child support.

I mean, you might not even have to but usually with child support they want to do visitation or they tend too. If he makes a big deal about it and won't agree to an amount which usually your lawyer will set, you would have to go to court for a hearing
