39 weeks and 5 days along... I have a doctor appointment tomorrow, and if I'm not dilated more than a 1 and not more than 50% effaced like I was a few days ago, will they schedule me for an induction ? Or can I request that they induce? I'm a FTM and I have no idea what they'll do for me... But if I'm past my due date I would imagine they could induce me next week?! Blah ☹️
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.
well I have bad news. I'm not getting induced today. since I'm 38 weeks. but I'll be 39 weeks Tomarrow. the nurse said I can come back on Tuesday. I'm so disappointed now. oh well gotta wait 6 more days.
41 weeks today. Monday I was STILL only a fingertip dilated 😒 however I'm getting induced in the morning.. Will the induction process be more painful than not being induced? Or is the pain about the same?
Please help! My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
