a lactation specialist wouldn't recommend it. because it could mess with your supply. I asked about taking a supplement to help with the baby weight with my last and they said they didn't recommend it because of the milk supply. if you can keep your supply up while drinking it then it may be fine. but talk to a breastfeeding peer from your local WIC office or talk to your ob/midwife before you try it. @daij
@themommaoffour, what's wrong with me trying to lose my baby weight? That's why I included "while breastfeeding" because I didn't know if I could or not.
@daij, why would you drink a fat burning tea while breastfeeding? breast milk is all fat and nutrients. Just doesn't make sense to me if you're breastfeeding.
yep. I'm actually a tea consultant for a compay called Steeped Tea with some of the highest quality teas. I haven't been working the business for a few months though. But yeah, pure matcha green tea
I drank matcha. It's a more potent green tea that really helps burn fat and is rich in antioxidants. It's fine to have a small cup a day while breastfeeding because the caffeine is similar to a cup of coffee.
@themommaoffour, thank you
