FYI assault against a nurse is a felony with up to 7 years in prison. Whether it be spitting, biting, hitting, and shoving. If there's a problem there's always a supervisor or manager to report the problem to or customer service. Btw the nurse won't get fired but written up because most times job is protected by the union. So think before you act.

@aniyahsmommy0403, same thing I said. I agree some of us can be fresh and I see it all the time. That's why there is the proper authority to report it to and the nurse would be disciplined. When I'm faced with a situation I remove myself and let someone else take over without being disrespectful to the patient because they are our customers.

and the patient can politely ask for another nurse. I know I did and called for the head nurse and she handled the situation. I get some people don't click but everybody has a bad day at work. you never know. no need to go all crazy on them. I was going to school to be a nurse but my bestfriends mom told me all the craziness she dealt with.

@mommyofcohenjayceandmatthew, that's right boo. Especially in the ED. @aniyahsmommy0403 that's all just request another nurse. Simple as that.

I'm not a nurse but I respect nurses way more then doctors. Some people just don't understand everything that y'all go through on a day to day basis at work. I completely understand when a nurse has a bad day. And I'm always respectful to nurses cause they spend so much time away from their own family to help mine and others. Not anyone can do what you do and people don't seem to understand that.

@amaperalta03, appreciate you're understanding. People don't know half the shit we put up with. I'm in the ICU plus I work per diem as a hospice nurse and the family is the most challenging to deal with. Everyone knows Ria walks away or switch assignment. But I'd be damned if someone assaults me verbally or physically.
