Good afternoon mommies!

So I just got out of my Dr apt. and they told me a couple things... Last time I went.. they swobbed me to see if I have bacteria, today they told me it came up positive.. they also told me that it's completely normal..? They said its nothing to worry about..

They also told Me that my amniotic fluid is still in the normal range, but low in the normal range.. ? They also told me this was nothing to worry about.. ?

Also today is THE FIRST TIME I met my Dr. so when he came in he gave me a induction date... He told me July 5th. but my due date isn't until July 10th....?

I'm very confused about all of this.. any mommies have advice?

The low amniotic fluid could be why he scheduled it early but I'm pretty sure the main reason they usually do it early because they don't want you to go into labor on your own.

the bacteria of strep B and you will just have to have antibiotics before you deliver and while you are delivering to make sure that it doesn't get passed to the baby. the amniotic fluid if it's in the low range it will continue to go down slowly so that's probably why your induction date is a week earlier

And the amniotic fluid should be good because as baby gets bigger, it gets tighter which means less space from amnio fluid

they probably tested for group b strep? you will probably be put on antibiotics during delivery so it doesn't pass to baby coming through birth canal. so far as I have ever heard or read, it doesn't have symptoms for you. no idea on the amniotic fluid, but I am assuming if you're in the normal range you're safe, they just might monitor it. Doctor may have set your induction date early because of the low amniotic fluid, I am sure you could ask him to change it to your due date, unless he won't be there and wants to be.

About the bacteria thing, it just means you're going to have to be connected to iv's to keep it balanced and when baby is born they'll check/keep an eye out to make sure everything is a ok since it's passed through the birth canal as for the induction date, I don't know, I never understood why dr's want to induce before a due date if everything is going fine
