How long does it take to get your baby birth certificate! I'm trying to take my baby to Medicaid office to sign him up for insurance since he only covered for 30 days and he's almost 3 weeks already

I didnt need his birth certificate. I just needed his crib card .

you have to go get it, the only thing they will send you is your baby's ssn

I just went yesterday to the county clerks and went to their documentation office and got their BC without their SSC. I haven't gotten their SSC yet.

Typically you have to go get it once you get lo ss card. If you've got it, take it to the court house and they'll get you birth certificate. That's what I had to do anyways.

I filled out papers while in the hospital and got a copy of the birth certificate a few weeks later. Same for SS card
