There is a vein that is situated behind your uterus and it gets squished when you lie on your back which then reduces blood flow to you and baby. Best position is on your left xx
Im sure you'd be worse off with no sleep at all. Don't worry too much if it's the only way you can get comfy... Have you tried putting a pillow under the right side of your back/bum so the weight isn't all on your back. I find now at nearly 29 weeks my bump is too heavy to lie on my back for long periods... I find I go dizzy on my right too so I'm mostly comfy on left anyway xx

i can only get comfy on my back its a pain :(

usually sleep on my side half laid on oh but when hes on nights i knt get comfy so have to lay on back :( xx

or you could try propping yourself up slightly so youre not completely flat @tg123456789
