I do like it but I get regular scans so I'm alright with giving it away lool its an angel sounds Doppler

@cookedsushi, that's exactly what my midwife said today but I'm dying to hear it again haha!! Not sure what to do, wanna get one but at the same time I'm a really anxious person anyway so don't actually know if it's a good idea haha! took her a good few minutes to find it today and I was freaking out 😂 xx

@stephy95, I love mine and use it once a week. used it with all my pregnancies. midwifes don't recommend the for the above comment reasons. however I wouldn't be without mine! my husband struggles to make appointments so it's nice for him xx

should have a midwife appointment at 16 weeks @cookedsushi , I've got a note on the front of my folder when I should be seeing her..can you not call and ask, you're probably right haha I'll probably leave it...they're quite expensive too so don't wanna get it and then never use it when I can spend the money on clothes and stuff like that which the baby will use you know? @raych I'm not with my ex now so he doesn't need to hear it haha, suppose it's good if you have someone that can't make appointments..as I said I'll probably not bother xxx

Well it's not only about making ourselves anxious for no reason when we can't pick up a heartbeat.. it's also due to the potential harm in using doppler as often as we like/want. I'm not sure if you are advised about this, but my sonographer told me to avoid using doppler more than once a week and not more than a minute per use. It's due to the power the doppler use and it produces more heat than normal U/S. Some pregnancy websites suggest getting stethoscope but I can't hear a thing with it haha... so I'm back to using doppler but following the advice given xx. @stephy95

@stephy95, i recorded my lil ones heartbeat when i saw my midwife as hubby couldn't make it.. we listen to it all the time.. obviously not as amazing as it being live so to speak but keeps us happy between appointments and scans xx
