when my husband finally gave the green light for us to try and get pregnant I was so excited. didn't know it would take us a year with me taking temps. checking mucus. and ovulation tests. Finally I July I felt weird. we were due to go to the fertility specialist in 2 weeks. I had ran a 101 degree fever for 24 hrs and I just felt off. tested at 8 dpo and saw the faintest line I thought I was imagining things. took one 3 days later and all said pregnant right away. we were so excited I cried tears if joy in the bathroom. I was due March 30th. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes type 2. I was constantly having irregular contractions since 31 weeks and had been losing my mucus plug since 29 weeks. my baby shower coming up and my midwife saying I won't last 3 more weeks I told my daughter wait till after my baby shower before you show up. 630pm after my baby shower in February 20th is when I started to get painful bh and back pain. they were 10 minutes apart. thinking I was had a exciting day I just need a good night rest. we were at my SIL and I didn't sleep. they went from 10 minutes to 6 minutes apart by morning but I still didn't think I was in labor. it's when the back pain really got to me we decided to go home and maybe I could take a shower and try to rest some more. didn't work so 6 pm Feb 21 we went to the hospital. my midwife was there end by then my contractions Were 3 to 5 minutes apart. she barley put in the speculum and pulled it right out and did a manual. telling me and my husband I was 4 cm dilated 100% effaced and my sac was bulging. bo5h of us yelled what. I was 34 weeks and 3 days and in preterm labor. I was kept pregnant and labored for 3 grueling days. day 3 I had developed severe preclamscia and was induced. my water was broken and I started on pitocen. the epidural did not help at all for me so the next 15 hrs I had to breathe through each contraction. my mom and husband had been pulling all night erst with me. finally it was time to push and another 2 hrs and Hazel Grace made her entrance at 501 am at 7lbs 6oz at 35 weeks 1 day. February 25th. 2 days after my 25th Birthday . never thought I could find the strength through so much pain. love my baby hirl
