This is heavy on my heart tonight. I am now 30 weeks pregnant and our son by the grace of God will be born in the next few months healthy as can be. On a somber note, one of my sister's friends (not on fb, either the friend or my sister) was hospitalized tonight after she went to confirm a pregnancy and it was discovered to be ectopic. If that isn't scary enough, the hospital she and her husband chose to go to for lack of not knowing better was the same one I went to when we lost our first baby in October last year. According to reports through my sister, this woman and her husband were told at first she was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy and they needed to essentially perform surgery right away and when they demanded proof via medical records they were met with disdain and are now being told it might be abdominal--but they weren't sure. What in ever living hell??!?! I spoke with the husband on the phone earlier and told him before they were just gonna take his wife to the OR they needed proof of what is exactly wrong. They're not sure about the location of the baby but want to perform surgery?!?! I also told guy he needs to not have his wife at that hospital because she is being mistreated the way I was when I lost my first. GOD my heart hurts. If I am able I will help these people get their justice because their treatment is to be abhorred.
