Mommas, my baby is having trouble pooping. I think it's the new formula I have. Is there anything that I can do to give her some relief?

@mazeyy09, my breast milk is helping her digest I just don't make enough or else I would solely just feed her that

its probably the kind of enfamil he's drinking that happened to my son and we switched to soy

I breastfeed every 2-3 hours and I try to pump after. They say that helps with production too. But sometimes my nipples are just to sore so I hold off on it until the next 3 hours when I feed her again.

How often do you pump/breastfeed? The more you at least try, the more milk you will supply. Doing skin to skin can also help!! Honestly I'm not a doctor so I can't give you a definite answer, but it could definitely be the formula stopping her up. 😕😕

@katarama, I breastfeed and formula feed for supplementation due to the fact that I don't produce much breast milk, she was on similac but I recently got WIC and they give enfamil. I think it's too heavy for her tummy and it makes her constipated

that's just something Ive always used with all my babies to help move the bowels. even at that age. I have a friend who's dr told her to use prune juice which I think is way too harsh.

Definitely not a good idea at a month old.

Is that safe, she is only a month old? @6thahardway
