@awood96, you and baby have to get used to one another, so it can take some time to get a good latch. Do you have nipple shields? Girl.... Do you know how many times I wanted to give up BF? Too many to count and I'm going 5 months strong, exclusively breastfeeding. It's not all glitz and glam most of the time, but it's worth it

@bri28, I don't have any but I've thought about getting some. He's such an aggressive eater that even if I catch him as soon as he starts showing signs of hunger it's a battle to get him on in general let alone properly.

@awood96, I hear ya. My little one is still like that. He has a horrible latch lately, hurts like hell. Just grab the boob and shove it all up in his mouth. He gets aggressive, so am I 😂

Try a nipple shield

I grab my areola and put that in his mouth. I found it harder to get him to latch if I was holding my whole breast. Maybe try a different position to get more comfortable for the both of you

@bri28, I've tried that. He is bad about backing his lower lip off and just putting it on the nipple. His top lip is fine. It hurts sooo bad! But I suck it up because he needs to eat and I refuse to wimp out and feed him formula lol.

@awood96, maybe try to get in there with your finger a little and pull his bottom lip down. I had to do that sometimes with top and bottom

@bri28, I tried that this morning. My stubborn little turd of a son sucked his lip right back in -.- I'm about to just accept the pain as part of this lol.

Get a shield...100% different for you and baby. I had issues. I tried shield and cried when it was fantastic
