How long did you breastfeeding moms wait to wear an underwire bra ??
Really? I never heard that! Definitely not 100% true because it didn't apply to me!
Here is a copy and paste from a website
Underwire? It’s up to you Worried about an underwire bra causing clogged ducts? Here’s advice from Harding: “Underwires are appropriate given two things: They must be professionally fitted and worn only after breastfeeding has been established, at about six to eight weeks.”
I recommend just getting fitted for the proper size. If you get fitted while you are empty, go a size up. Make sure it isn't too tight etc. That's when issues arise, when the bra is not fitted properly
I read inline that underwire bra can make you dry up, so I assumed you weren't supposed to wear them or something? @arivera64 @kellynicole
@arivera64, i heard that underwire cause clogged ducts is that not true? i would love to wear my regular bras! lol
I have bailed on bras all together i only wear tank tops with built in ones but I attempted to wear an under wire bra...it's hard it fits right after your breasts are empty and within 30 mins it's to small and if you get a larger bra to compensate which I tried right after feeding the bras to big and then i have to wait for it to fit haha I called it a no win situation
I have underwire nursing bras I've been wearing since I came home from the hospital
There are underwire nursing bras. You don't have to wait, although i found it more comfortable after about 6 weeks when my supply was established and i wasnt getting as engorged
i think ill just stick to the ones without wire for now lol
