Ladies with multiple kiddos- did you have them close together? or far apart? My husband has 5+ years difference from all his siblings and I am only 15 months apart from my sister. We have perspective as siblings but not really as parents. As a parent what have your experiences been with kids born close together vs farther apart?

As a nanny it seems easier on the parents when the are further apart. Then the kiddo can help with the baby and will usually but, not all of the time be able to better adjust to a new sibling in the house. I want mine 5 years apart. I feel like for the most part that's a good distance like 3.5 to 5 years depending on the child. That's just my opinion though! :)

my first 2 are 13 months apart. i thought it would be hard but it wasnt. older sister helped and loved it. no jealousy because i let her help. and they helped eachother with everything. it made things easy. they always kept eachother company. played together and everything. they are 8 and 7 now and its still the same. they fight alot hut they still take care of eachother and refuse to sleep in different beds and everything. this pregnancy is a 7 yr difference frm the youngestm i dnt knw yet what to say about it.

My older two are 13 and 9. The gap between them was ideal for me. Phoenix was able to help with her little brother and that's a massive help since I was a single mum. She kept an eye on him at the nanny's house and gave me a full report at the end of the day. They grew up having a great relationship. Both of them are excited to have a new baby sister coming.
