So I have to tell work on Tuesday when I'm going on maternity leave! To be honest I've not really thought that far ahead! How many weeks has everyone else started theirs?
I'm starting mine at 37 weeks but I've got 2 weeks annual leave booked in right before it. I work in a nursery too. August is a quieter month so it hopefully won't be too bad. Ive taken a week off at the end of August for my holiday and then I'll be back for 3/4 weeks then I'll leave. x
I work in a nursery, it's not too bad, just the stairs are tiring sometimes, I have saved all my annual leave and August is a quiet month as loads of the kids leave to go to school but I just can't decide 😩
you dont have to make decision there and then they should keep reviewing every 4 weeks untill u know for def as things change ect. @beckie88
@sammie-x, I was a carers and it required 24 hour and 12 hour shifts and miles of walking, so I went on maternity at 34 weeks but had 2 weeks annual leave so left at 32 weeks! Just depends on the nature of your job what it involves physically. I was pushing wheelchairs and showering clients and stuff so was demanding physically and mentally x
Mine started at 38 weeks but had two weeks annual leave before that. I worked in a private hospital as a health care assistant so was doing 40+hours a week and was on my feet all day caring for patients. Each to their own I guess. I had a smooth pregnancy no problems or anything so I guess it's how you feel x
Mine officially started at 36 weeks but had two & half weeks annual leave before that so left at about 34 weeks. Depends how stressful/hard your job is. I was a manager of a restaurant in Debenhams so I had the advantage of being able to sit down when I needed to xx
You can change the date if you feel you need to Hun, I've put mine earlier as my managers an ignorant sod who seems to think women make to much fuss over being pregnant, which I've literally not done I've also booked to use all my holiday before X
i work in a nursery and im finishing up 35 weeks, iv just been to tenerife in march and may so used all my annual leave xxxxx
