42 weeks is the max, and you can't be induced before 39 unless its a medical emergency. @angelic_clover

Most doctors will only let you go to 42 weeks before they induce you, most will only induce at 37 weeks for a medical emergency. Most make you wait until 39-40 weeks to break your water if you haven't gone into labor yet. Basically it all depends on your doctor
