what's the longest you can be pregnant? and after 37 weeks can you choose to get your water broke or do you have to wait 40 weeks to do so?

42 weeks is the max, and you can't be induced before 39 unless its a medical emergency. @angelic_clover

Most doctors will only let you go to 42 weeks before they induce you, most will only induce at 37 weeks for a medical emergency. Most make you wait until 39-40 weeks to break your water if you haven't gone into labor yet. Basically it all depends on your doctor

Mine induces at 39-41 weeks depending on how baby measures.
