high school diploma looks better. I have my GED and I wish I stayed in school. I joined the army so it looks better on my apps

I only say that cause I myself was not good in school at all, and came close to quitting a couple times, but decided against it, I barely passed my senior year, and all the stress and anxiety and work I had put in just to get a passing grade was worth it when I finally got my diploma. It feels great to hold it, and know that you worked hard for it @rainbowbaby2015

It's up to you really, but I think getting a high school diploma is worth the extra work, that's just my opinion @rainbowbaby2015

@arivera64, Thank you. That type of story is the shit that actually gives me hope in getting my GED if I take that route.

@shearn20, I'm in cyber school and its self paced. They expect me to graduate in January of 2017 but that was before I had maternity leave so now its even further

@shearn20, employers legally have to treat it the same as a diploma. A lot of applications just ask if you have graduated and you put yes (regardless if it's a GED or diploma)

well mama whatever you decide, I wish you great success. I got my GED at 19 and i don't regret it. I've gotten jobs with no problems, went to college for patient care tech. I even run my own business now.

@arivera64, I'm just worried (in my opinion the biggest con) is that I'll dick around and not get it for a while still. I REALLY need to get it and I don't think I can afford to wait till January 2017 for it

I think the only con would be that an employer is more likely to hire someone with a diploma, but I don't think that's a big factor, it helps you to further your education, you'd be able to enroll for college classes @rainbowbaby2015

I honestly don't think there are any cons to doing something that would further your education. I say go for it !
