Hey ladies does anyone know the recent requirements or 'rules' for christenings? Oh was christened and he wants our bubba to be but can't find any up to date info on them! X
That's us unable to christen her then! Haha @gabilicious x
You need to go to church regularly and you're only allowed two godparents, only one parent had to be baptised but both godparents have to be baptised and have had their holy communion as well as confirmation x
Just go to your local church and ask father about it, both me and my husband been baptised and we got our little girl baptised last month, you have to go to baptism classes and we had to pay £10 donation but it depends on your church x
That's brilliant! Would it be okay to message you? @hrbn2 x
My son was baptised, we're Roman Catholic (although not particularly strict), and this baby will be baptised as well. I can try and help you with questions and stuff if you'd like x
It did a bit thank you @m3gan ! Just so confused cause I'm not religious, not sure how many godparents I can choose or if they and we need to have been christened too, where she can get christened or if we need to attend church to be able to do it, it's all so confusing :( need to contact the vicar I think x
Baptism/christening
Has anyone not done it yet? And also Melinda still does not have god parents! Haven't decided I am not close enough with anyone to feel comfortable
I'm not religious so instead of a christening I'd like to have like a little blessing for my daughter. Just a little get together with some people I've picked to be her 'guideparents' instead of 'godparents' as I want them to help guide her through life instead of doing it through any religious means. Has anyone done anything similar or has any ideas as to what I should do?
Here's a new conundrum to add to my stress. I've been estranged from my father since I was about 13 due to his alcoholism. His family is spread all over the country, from Vermont to California and I've never had much of a relationship with any of them. In the past couple of years, I've somewhat established contact with a few of them including my grandmother and two of his sisters. It's been nice hearing from them throughout my pregnancy, or it was until about two weeks ago when all three began p...
